Position: Inventory Coordinator
Reports to: Material Control Supervisor, AVA

Job: Inventory Coordinator
Job description: This role will be instrumental in helping AVA Material Control Supervisor to issue, deliver, and manage inventory effectively and efficiently. This critical role will collaborate with crew members to support production. This includes assisting in the workflow and storage of material to deliver the line what they need when they need it. Inventory Coordinator will be responsible for but not limited to WIP to finished goods, initiate regular cycle counts, building kitting, active/future work orders, and all other aspects related to inventory control.
A successful Inventory Coordinator possess commanding knowledge of ERP, Excel skills and is coachable, timely, well-organized, focuses on process improvement, and communicates effectively and transparently.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively prepare for upcoming orders and future project demand needs
- Use Global Shop (ERP) software to issue, transfer, deliver, and review work orders/BOM’s
- Verify the accuracy of quantity of inventory and resolve any discrepancies by conducting regular audits and cycle counts.
- Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments; material management and equipment needs
- Leverage manufacturing best practices to assist with direct flow of materials
- Actively seek out inventory discrepancies with Crew Leads and production team members
- Keeping a well-maintained and updated account of stock and inventory levels in ERP
- Deliver clear and transparent communication of inventory across applicable workstreams and work centers
- Engage and collaborate with warehouse, purchasing, engineering, and other leaders to optimize processes
- Ensure compliance to legal regulations and company policy surrounding hazardous and other materials
- Maintain storage areas to ensure that inventory is secure and protected while maintaining safety standards and regulations
- Create and maintain reports in ERP system and Excel that provide useful information to operations and material control team
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Possess 2-5 years prior experience inventory management. Solid knowledge of logistics operations and standard material handling processes. Experience in inventory management and controls.
Good understanding of KPIs related to inventory management. Regular communication with production to ensure material management aligns with their needs.
Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of ERP software/data entry related to work order processing and inventory management, open to coaching and mentoring, excellent organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, problem-solving and risk mitigation mindset, ability to quickly prioritize with a sense of urgency. Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing.

Lift, push, pull 50 lbs regularly
